Only the occasional itchy patches when sthing trigger off the eczema. When they were babies and the eczema is raging, sadly nothing but the steroid cream would bring it down. H/ever, I'd immediately stopped using the cream when the eczema has calm down and would treat the red, dry patches with calendula oil. You can make it by sun-infusing a cup of dried calendula flowers in a cup of extra virgin olive oil in a glass jar for about 4-6 weeks. On dry patches, I'd whipped some unrefined shea butter with the calendula oil and apply it directly to the skin. And for cuts and bruises, I always keep near me a bottle of immortelle/helichrysum eo 5% diluted in Rosehip Oil. It's great to help relieves pain, heal small cuts and bruising fast.
