Hi Cynthia, glad that you're interested in soapmaking! Unfortunately I don't run classes at the moment, and I'm not aware of anyone who does (for cold process soapmaking, at least). It's something that I would love to set up eventually though, so keep visiting this blog for future articles on soapmaking, or news of classes starting.

Both my daughters have eczema too, but now they're off steroid creams, yay...! Only the occasional itchy patches when sthing trigger off the eczema. When they were babies and the eczema is raging, sadly nothing but the steroid cream would bring it down. H/ever, I'd immediately stopped using the cream when the eczema has calm down and would treat the red, dry patches with calendula oil. You can make it by sun-infusing a cup of dried calendula flowers in a cup of extra virgin olive oil in a glass jar for about 4-6 weeks. On dry patches, I'd whipped some unrefined shea butter with the calendula oil and apply it directly to the skin. And for cuts and bruises, I always keep near me a bottle of immortelle/helichrysum eo 5% diluted in Rosehip Oil. It's great to help relieves pain, heal small cuts and bruising fast. Hope this can help...:) And Michelle, I'd really love to visit your stall one day...well hopefully soon :)

No problem Julie. I'm really very thankful for the BFM interview too, it's helping me reach out to more people in need. Say, would you be able to bring your baby along to the bazaar? Would love to meet the little angel. :) Sadly I can't bring either of my children as they'd be ransacking all the stalls throughout the day. :p Andrea is eczema-free now, thank god, but she goes ahead to collect all kinds of exotic cuts and bruises in her daily enthusiastic romping about with Brandon. x_x

Thanks for ur prompt response! Michelle. By the way, I was so glad to hear about the Kinder Soap & your experience through BFM, as I was desperately searching for natural remedy for baby's skin problem.

My baby's face is almost cleared from the eczema (thanks to the cream full of steroid! ;p), but his body still has red, dry patches nowadays.
I'm staying in USJ. Will try to visit your stall on one of those dates. If not, I will then purchase the soap online.
I guess your daughter, Andrea has soft, tender skin and free from eczema now! :)

Hi Julie. Poor kiddo! Is the eczema severe? Yes I still have the Goats Milk and Patchouli soaps in stock, so you can get them from me then. Otherwise if you can't wait and you live around PJ I don't mind arranging for a pickup so you can try the soap on your baby a little earlier. Just let me know. :)

Hi Michelle,
My 3 mth plus baby has eczema. The cream given by the pediatrician contains steroid and produced some side effects to my baby. so I'm very interested in natural products, such as your goats milk & Patchouli soap.
Noticed your announcement at the 'Let's Meet!' section. Will I be able to purchase the soap on Oct 10 or 11 at the BV II flea market then?
